The Joke’s On You

In college I wanted to be an aspiring comedian and even did a skit for a program. It has taken this “The Joke’s On You” to finally provide me with the knowledge of comedy as work that, at its best, must be constructed and systematic.

Comedy is more than just telling jokes, and The Jokes On You: How to Write Comedy convinces you of that. It has given me the tools on how to improve my comedy, from the writing to its delivery. Just like other pieces of work, it is to be taken seriously and undergoes critical analysis so as to be executed at its very best. I personally think that anyone can benefit from reading this book.

Comedians from novice to experts can always learn a thing or two about the art of comedy. Others have noticed my improvements and I have a new edge from this reading. Great job Stephen Hoover!
