Plague of Angels (The Descended)

Plague of Angels (The Descended) managed to maintain a fair amount of religious and historical accuracy while providing a very rich and provocative piece of fiction. It straddled a line between fantasy and the occult. In this way, our character were dark angels and supernatural beings. A lot of it was spent on Earth though, so it was so much fun to read how the author, John Patrick Kennedy didn’t allow them to be subject to physical limitations.

I thought the book was very creative and seductive, which can be tricky when you are using a religious context. For me, this was a unique way to brush up on my Christian history as well. Plague of Angels (The Descended) has allowed me to cultivate a strong interest in the Magical Realism and Paranormal Fantasy genre. It’s truly more provocative and alluring than anything else comparable!
