Down and Yonder feature film

Press Release

From its inception, The Future West was always intended as a prelude to a much larger story about growing up in the South, one that encompasses themes of friendship, maturity, and the search for home.

Down and Yonder will be a film that catches up with the characters of Wally and Sugar Baby two years from where we last saw them. It will be a film that explores the gravitational pull of a small town as well as a friendship tested by time. It asks how much of ourselves we must change in order to engage with a larger world.

In keeping with the themes of the film, we hope to use as much talent from Georgia as possible to bring this film to fruition. Currently, the plan is to shoot it in the summer of 2015.
